Definition of Tourism According to Richard Sihite in Marpaung and Bahar ( 2000: 46-47 ) Explaining the definition of tourism as follows: tourism is a journey that are done for a while, being held from a place to another left which it had, with a planning and with a view not to strive or earn a living in a place visited, but solely to enjoy activities and recreation or its variegated to satisfy the desire. According to H. Kodhyat ( 1983: 4) Is as follows: tourism is the journey from one place to another, temporary, conducted an individual or group, as an effort to balance or harmony and happiness with the environment in the social dimension, culture, nature and science. Salah Wahab ( 1975: 55 ) said the definition of tourism, namely: tourism is one of the new industry that is capable of accelerating economic growth and provision of employment opportunities, the increase in income, standard of living as well as stimulate other productive sectors.
